Greenwood employer gets top honors

Greenwood-based eyewear e-tailer, One Click, was recognized recently as one of Inc.’s Best Workplaces.

The Inc. list was was created in conjunction with Omaha, Nebraska-based employee engagement and culture company Quantum Workplace. The 2016 Inc. Best Workplaces Awards assessed companies based on surveys of employees regarding management, employee recognition, performance communication, benefits and other factors.

To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent.

Bank names new leaders

Mutual Savings Bank, a bank with locations in Johnson County, has announced three promotions at local branches.

Casey Swallows, the former assistant branch manager at Mutual’s main office in Franklin, will now serve as the office’s branch manager and IRA coordinator, while Alma Torres will move into the branch manager role at the Franklin United Methodist Community branch.

Adam Browder, formerly the branch manager at the main office, will become a commercial loan analyst at the bank’s loan center.

Swallows joined the bank in 2010 as a teller before being moved to assistant branch manager at the main office in 2014. She and her husband and three children reside in Edinburgh.

Torres grew up in Mexico before moving to Franklin and working as a part-time teller at Mutual’s Franklin United Methodist Community location. She had been promoted to assistant branch manager in early 2016.

Browder has been with Mutual Savings Bank for eight years, working as a teller and assistant branch manager before becoming the branch manager at the main office in 2012. He is a nearly lifelong resident of Franklin and graduated from Franklin College in 2015.
