Betty Lou Clements

INDIANAPOLIS

Betty Lou Clements, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Indianapolis, to the late Lloyd C. and Helen Gertrude Ramsey Williams.

Betty graduated from Oden High School in 1944 and graduated from U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps in 1947.

She worked for Dr. Sears doing house calls, worked at Indiana University Hospital in cancer research and then stayed home to take care of the family. She was a member of Southport United Methodist Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Joe Clements; daughter, Debra Malone.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Guckelberg, Tom Clements; brother, Harold Williams; sisters, Norma Harp, Mary Fish; two grandchildren, Angel Gaskins, Aaron Fort; four great grandchildren, Carter, Landen, Alyssa Gaskins and Eden Fort.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Southport United Methodist Church 1947 E. Southport Road, Indianapolis, with calling from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the church.
