Patty Lou Yaste

Patty Lou Yaste, 78, of Noblesville, and formerly of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016.

She was born Sept. 4, 1937, in Muncie, the daughter of George and Inez Cole. Patty received a teaching degree from Ball State University, as well as earning her master’s degree from Indiana University.

Patty was a math and science teacher and taught school for many years in Edinburgh. While living in Cape Coral, Patty taught at several local schools and also worked for Publix supermarkets.

She loved traveling, taking cruises, bowling, and was a talented seamstress.

Patty is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Yaste. She also is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Craig Edling of Evansville; her sons-and daughters-in-law, David and Anne Yaste of Noblesville, and Jon and Missy Yaste of Greenwood; and her son, Brett Yaste of Fort Myers, Florida. 

Patty also is survived by her grandchildren, Steven Edling, Damian Edling, Phillip Edling, Abigail Yaste, Brianna Hettinger, Megan Yaste, Morgan Yaste and Troy Yaste; her great-grandchildren, Brianna Edling, Smith Edling and Ollie Edling; her niece, Judy Barnes; and her faithful canine companion, Adrey.

As were Patty’s wishes, there will be no services, and cremation will be accorded.
