Terry E. Edwards

Terry E. Edwards, 59, passed away Friday morning, May 27, 2016, at his home in Indianapolis. He was a former resident of Trafalgar.

Terry was born in Franklin on Nov. 9, 1957, to his parents, the late Estel “Casey” and Ruby (Lee) Edwards.

He had been employed for the past 12 years as the shop foreman and master mechanic for Pickett Equipment Parts in Franklin. Prior to that, he worked as a mechanic for Hogue Garage in Trafalgar.

Terry was very talented in restoring old vehicles and mechanically inclined. He worked on farm equipment for several farmers in the area.

He was a past member of the Locust Grove Pentecostal Church in Brown County. Terry enjoyed participating in drag racing, tractor pulling and antique tractor pulling. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, deer hunting, trap shooting and target shooting. He loved spending time with his dog, Dodge.

Terry is survived by his brother, Larry (JoEllen) Edwards of Franklin; stepchildren, Jim Chipman, Bonnie Richardson, Cyndi Wines, Rhonda Chase and Teresa Durbin; nieces, Stacy Edwards and Jennifer (Bill) Margason; nephews, Brent and Justin Edwards; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Mary “Kay” (Gurley) Edwards, on Aug. 11, 1999. They were married Jan. 5, 1979, in Trafalgar.

The Revs. Walter Fletcher and Joseph Durbin will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
