A Franklin distribution facility was sold as part of a larger sale to a home entertainment company.
Direct Shot Distributing, which is located in the Franklin Business Park on the north side of Franklin, was included in the sale of Anderson Merchandisers. Anderson Merchandisers, which offers product displays and technology to retailers, is an affiliate of ANconnect, which distributes entertainment products.
Alliance Entertainment, a home entertainment company, purchased ANconnect, according to a company news release.
According to the news release, many ANconnect employees will begin working for Alliance Entertainment, and Anderson Merchandisers will continue work with a long-term contract.
After a short transitional period, distribution will be done from Alliance Entertainment’s warehouse in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, the release said.
Company officials declined to comment on what effect the sale would have on the Franklin location.
