Woman accused of stealing ex-boyfriend’s car

Police say a woman stole her former boyfriend’s car from his Edinburgh home.

Morgan Bowker, 21, was arrested on charges of burglary, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and auto theft.

On Monday, Bowker’s ex-boyfriend told police Bowker came to his home and asked to come inside to get her clothes. When Bowker went into the bathroom to change, the ex-boyfriend said he heard the back door close and his car and keys were gone, the report said.

A Franklin police officer stopped Bowker in the vehicle. Bowker told police that she had permission to drive the car and was living with her ex-boyfriend off and on. Police also found three syringes in the vehicle, and when asked about them Bowker pulled her shirt over her face and avoided answering the question, the report said.

Bowker remains in the Johnson County jail on $20,000 bond. Her address was not available.
