Here is a look at Memorial Day events:
Courthouse: U.S. Marine Corps veteran Brian Folco will speak at 11 a.m. today on the courthouse lawn in Franklin.
Rocklane Cemetery: Greenwood VFW Post 5864 wants volunteers to place flags on veterans’ graves at 8:30 a.m. today.
Memorial Day Mass: SS. Francis & Clare Church, 5901 Olive Branch Road, Greenwood, will have mass at 8:45 a.m. today to pray for the safety and well-being of those who served and are currently serving. Veterans are encouraged to wear uniforms and medals. A reception will follow.
5K run/walk: Following mass and a memorial service. SS. Francis & Clare will be hosting a 5K and fun run that will begin at 10:15 a.m. today. To register, visit ss-fc.org/race.
