Frank C. Scholl

INDIANAPOLIS

Frank C. Scholl, 101, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

Born Aug. 8, 1914, in Weilbach, Germany to the late Gottfried and Clara Scholl, he was proud of his German heritage and very active at the German American Klub, the Southside Turners, Heimath-Preussen, and the Federation of German Societies. He also was a member of Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite.

He was a longtime member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.

He retired from Goodman Jewelers after 55 years. Frank was very musically inclined and enjoyed playing the harmonica.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Grubbs and Sharon Scholl; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Adam) Wheat and Scott (Kellie) Foster; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jackson Wheat and Brian and Lauren Foster.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marjorie; son-in-law, Jerry Grubbs; and sister, Rosemary Wesner.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
