Judith G. “Judy” Howdeshell, 69, of Greenwood, formerly of Warm Springs and Richmond, Virginia, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016.
She was retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia as a human resource specialist for more than 25 years.
Judy was a published writer writing under the name of Judith Dance.
She is survived by her children, Ronald N. (Barbara) Howdeshell and Shannon (Vernon) VanHorn; granddaughter, Piper Howdeshell; sister, Polly Rector; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory-Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., with visitation there from noon until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial gifts be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
