Rosalee Clayburn, 83, of Nashville, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at her home.

Rosalee was born April 25, 1933, in Johnson County, the daughter of Ralph and Irene Mead Bassett.

She married Everett Clayburn in August 1952. Everett preceded her in death June 16, 2005.

Rosalee was a sweet, kind individual who was always willing to sacrifice for her children. She was a strong-willed, hard-working and charitable woman. She loved to dance with her husband, and in her free time she enjoyed reading, painting and drawing.

Survivors include her sons, Daniel (Crystal) Clayburn of Lexington, Kentucky, Jeff (Pam) Clayburn of Louisville, Brent (Lora Stickan) Clayburn of Columbus and Kelley (Amy) Clayburn of Columbus; daughter, Kathy (David) Jordan of Nashville; a brother, Norman (Pat) Bassett of Summerfield, Florida; sisters, Alice Jean (Rollie) Manley of Columbus and Judy Potter of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett; and a sister, Marilyn Bassett.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 p.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, 3855 25th St., Columbus with Norman Bassett officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
