Battery

Johnson County jail, 1091 Hospital Road, Franklin: Police responded at 2:40 a.m. Sunday to a report of officers being struck by an inmate while trying to restrain the inmate.

Criminal mischief

1900 block of South U.S. 31, Franklin: Police responded at 8:56 p.m. Sunday to residents’ report that a strange car drove into their yard and began doing donuts on the lawn.

3400 block of West Smith Valley Road, Greenwood: Police responded at 12:44 p.m. Sunday to a report of a knocked-over fence post.

Thefts

•200 block of Shady Brook Heights, Greenwood: Police responded at 4:03 p.m. Sunday to a report of several belongings being taken out of a home the victims were moving out of. Stolen items included a carpet cleaner, sweeper, computer, clothing and a slow cooker.

•7200 block of South Woodruff Lane, Nineveh: Police responded at 8:48 a.m. Sunday to a report of a stolen vehicle.

The following people recently were arrested and booked into the Johnson County jail:

Nicholas Allen Wells, 25, 324 Varsity Lane, Bloomington; arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court; held without bond.

Scott Daniel Davis, 37, 63 E. Adams St., Franklin; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction; released on $250 bond.

Angela K. Turner, 38, 4947 Welton St., Greenwood; arrested on a charge of theft; released on $1,200 bond.

David Ray Eicle, 56, 403 Hollybrook Drive, New Whiteland; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended; released on $1,000 bond.

Aaron Michael Chandler, 23, 506 S. Main St., Edinburgh; arrested on charges of battery, criminal mischief, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and disorderly conduct; held on $6,000 bond.

Carolina N. Orozco, 20, 3090 N. Morton St., Lot 55, Franklin; arrested on a charge of driving without a license; released on $250 bond.

Michael E. Hall, 44, 1202 Stonehedge Drive E, Apt. B, Greenwood; arrested on charges of public intoxication and theft or receiving stolen property; held on $2,200 bond.
