A Greenwood man was killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon near Bloomington.
Kyle Knuth, 20, was riding a motorcycle on State Road 446 around 4:25 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Ryan Davis said. A witness told deputies that Knuth had just passed him in a no-passing zone, and then Knuth lost control of his motorcycle, Davis said.
When Knuth lost control, his bike fell to the ground and went into oncoming traffic, Davis said. A car pulling a small boat struck Knuth, according to the accident report from the Bloomington Fire Department.
Witnesses performed CPR on Knuth, then firefighters took over with CPR but were not able to revive him at the scene.
He was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead, Davis said.
