Student drunk at school, arrested

Police arrested a Franklin Community High School student who was passed out drunk in a classroom, according to a report.

The student, who is 17, told police he stayed at a friend’s house Tuesday night, where he drank moonshine Wednesday morning before driving to school, according to the police report.

While in class, the student passed out and had limited responses, according to the report.

School officials had to bring the teen to the office in a wheelchair because he was so drunk he could not walk, the report said.

The student had a blood-alcohol content of 0.22 percent, according to the report.

Police arrested the student on a charge of illegal consumption of alcohol, and he was taken to the Johnson County Juvenile Detention facility.
