General election voter registration opens

Voters can now register so they can cast their ballot this fall.

Registration for the general election opens today. Residents can sign up to vote at any Bureau of Motor Vehicles location, call the Johnson County Clerk’s Office to request a form to be mailed to them or go to IndianaVoters.com to register online.

The deadline to register in time for the general election is Oct. 11.

More than 103,820 residents registered in time for the primary election, which is a new record for Johnson County. More residents had already filled out registration forms after the cutoff in the spring, which can now be processed starting today, according to the clerk’s office.
