Two arrested after traffic stop on I-65

Two Chicago men were arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 65 this weekend.

Delvin E. Henderson, 37, 10546 S. Vernon Ave., was arrested on a charge of resisting law enforcement and reckless driving. Lavon K. Adams, 35, 7134 E. End Ave., was arrested on a charge of false informing and a warrant from Illinois.

A sheriff’s deputy stopped the vehicle the men were riding in for speeding on I-65 near the Worthsville Road exit at 6 a.m. Sunday.

When the deputy approached the vehicle, it took off, and then stopped again after about 200 feet, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Both men were taken to the Johnson County jail. Henderson was released on $2,500 bond, and Adams was held without bond.
