A woman was threatened and told to send $3,400 in an online scam, police said.
The woman met a man online and began talking with him. The man convinced her to send him nude photos and then began demanding cash.
The man told her if she did not send cash, he would post her pictures online and also post pictures of her children. He also told her she would go to jail, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
She did not send the man money, the report said.
After the woman reported the incident to police, the man continued to contact and threaten her, the report said.
Police warn against sending such photos or communicating with anyone who demands cash.
