Woman arrested after near-hour-long pursuit

A woman was arrested after a pursuit that went through Johnson and Brown counties and lasted about an hour.

Lona D. Albertson, 47, 4014 Hoover Road, Nashville, was arrested on charges of resisting law enforcement and criminal recklessness and a warrant.

Albertson was arrested after a pursuit that began on Interstate 65 near Whiteland around 12 a.m. Tuesday. The chase went through Edinburgh and into Brown County and eventually came back into Johnson County, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The chase went through northern Brown County and the Peoga area, according to a report from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies used stop sticks to deflate the tires of the vehicle, which went off the road and stopped on County Road 250W, just north of the Johnson County line.

A Johnson County Sheriff’s Office vehicle was also damaged in the pursuit, Sheriff Doug Cox said.

Albertson was taken to the Johnson County jail, where she was held without bond.
