WEST LAFAYETTE
Michael G. Land, 66, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at IU Health in Lafayette. He was a resident of West Lafayette and a former resident of Nineveh.
He was born Sept. 17, 1949, in Franklin to Donald Land Jr. and Mary Rosalie (Wheeler) Land.
He is survived by his father, Donald “Dick” Land of Franklin; stepbrother, Tom Langdon; Aunt, Lou Land; and four cousins.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, Mary Rosalie Land; stepmother, Bernita Land; and brother, Steven Land.
He was a graduate of Nineveh High School.
Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Nineveh Christian Church.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted.
