FRANKLIN

Dorothy P. Woodall, 96, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.

She was born Nov. 28, 1919, in Lincoln County, Kentucky to George and Versia (Wilson) Osborne.

She married Henry Lee Woodall on June 18, 1936. He preceded her in passing.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Jean Thomas of Plainfield, Teresa (Steve) Booth of Indianapolis, Kenny (Virginia) Woodall of Greenwood, Kimberly (Byron) Thompson of Franklin, Carolyn (William) Peters of Franklin and Larry (Karen) Woodall of Nineveh; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was a cook at Indian Creek High School for many years, retiring in the early ’70s.

The Rev. Chris Page will conduct a celebration of Dorothy’s life at 1 p.m. Thursday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Dorothy may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the Franklin United Methodist Community and to Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to our mother, Dorothy.
