BLOOMINGTON
Susan Lynn King, 58, of Bloomington, passed away on April 30, 2016, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 20, 1957, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Curtis R. and Wavanne (Walker) Correll.
Susan graduated in 1976 from Warren Central High School. During her tenure there, she became active and sang in Madrigals group.
She worked for Monroe Bank Loan Center as a mortgage lender and went on to work for American Mortgage. She also worked at American Family Insurance.
Susan was a former member of Northside Christian Church, and for the past 14 years, was a member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church. She was an active member in the church choir.
She loved spending time with family, flowers, and enjoyed gardening. Susan will be remembered as a beloved wife, loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kevin King; children, Heather (Matt) Tallman, Katie (Jared Wales) King and Jonas King; grandchildren, Noah and Jacob Tallman; and sisters, Elizabeth Paff, Jackie Newby, Sheryl Conner, and Brenda Bragg.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, 2700 East Rogers St., Bloomington, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Family will also receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington.
