What is your approach to your art?

“A lot of times I’ll find an inspiration from a magazine picture. I get the pose from the picture, and then I can work on it from there. I never know how it’s going to look when it’s done, because I just kind of start working and see what happens. That’s the fun part for me. You’ll change things around as you get going.”

What are you working on for the open house?

“Right now, I’m focusing on these angel paintings. I have a friend who does healing touch, and she has a lot of spiritual clients. They are all connecting to my angel work. I started out doing these Byzantine icons that had that gold leaf. So that’s where the metallic effect comes from.”
