Purdue Extension Johnson County will host a free financial safety seminar Monday.
The program will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the extension service offices, 484 N. Morton St., Franklin.
A variety of speakers will present educational information about how to avoid scams, protect against identify theft and be secure on the Internet.
Participants include Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller and Connie Larson, the Indiana secretary of state.
Sheila Harmon from the Greenwood Public Library will discuss Internet safety and security, while Barbara Miller with Senior Medicare Patrol will present on Medicare fraud.
Participants will receive gift bags and informational packets. Refreshments will be available.
