57-year-old crashes car into Greenwood house

Daily Journal staff reports

A man is recovering after crashing his car into a Greenwood home.

Ralph Graham, 57, was driving on Smith Valley Road in Greenwood just after 8 a.m. Monday when he crashed into a house near Greenwood Community High School.

Police believe Graham lost consciousness, said Kortney Burrello, spokeswoman for the Greenwood Police Department. His car then went off the road and into the front of a house in the 600 block of West Smith Valley Road.

One resident was inside the home when it was hit but was at the back of the house and was not injured, said Darin Hoggatt, Greenwood Fire Department assistant chief.

Graham was taken to Franciscan St. Francis Hospital.

Police do not believe alcohol and drugs were a factor.
