Helena June Davis, 90, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, with her family at her side.
June was born April 10, 1926, in Alfordsville to Floyd and Elsie C. (Brown) Baker. She was a graduate of Alfordsville High School with the Class of 1944. After a five-day train ride to King City, California, she married David Clark Davis, and they spent the next 61 years as man and wife until his death Aug. 2, 2006.
June was a member of Lakeview Church, and she loved to play the piano. She was very involved with the Washington Assembly of God church for many years. She loved to roller-skate in her youth. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who know and love her.
June is survived by her sons, Larry (Rebecca) Davis of Greenwood and Damon (Kay) Davis of Zionsville; granddaughter, Jennifer Rae (Kevin) Clutter of Greenwood; great-granddaughter, Emma Rae Clutter.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
