WHITELAND
Roberta June Hunter, 80, of Whiteland, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 22, 1935, in Seymour, the daughter of the late Amos and Lillie (Hohenstreiter) Maschino.
She married Robert Lee Hunter on Dec. 19, 1954, in Seymour and he preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1984.
Roberta was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield and worked at Meijer for eight years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 252, the VFW Auxiliary 6978 and the Eagles Auxiliary 655.
She is survived by her children, Cathy (Rommie) Loudd, Carol (Rick) White, Janet Riddle and Robert Paul Hunter; three grandchildren, Jeremy White, Rusti Bailey and Kyra Riddle; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Ross A. Maschino; a sister, Bonnie Whitson and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Raymond A., Avis, Joey and Orvile Maschino, and a sister, Wanda Goble.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from noon to service time Monday at the funeral home.
