Billy Morris Walker Jr., 52, of Greenwood, passed unexpectedly from this life at 5:29 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Billy was the son of the late Billy Morris “Moose” Walker Sr. and Naomi Jean (Dowdy) Walker.

He was born Feb. 28, 1964, in Indianapolis.

Billy grew up in the Indianapolis area and graduated from Arsenal Tech High School with the class of 1983.

Following graduation, he attended Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis and received a degree in auto mechanics.

Billy had spent the past several years working for KYB Manufacturing in Franklin, where he was a team leader.

He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Indianapolis, and he took great pleasure in attending car shows and most importantly, spending time with his son, Gabe.

Billy will be deeply missed and always remembered by his loving family including his wife, Janet Lee (Gibson) Walker; son, Gabriel Walker; sister, Jeana (Jeff) Cox of Alexandria, Virginia; two nieces, Ashley and Allison Cox; stepson, Joseph Forrester of Orleans, Indiana; stepdaughter, April Barger of Noblesville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are encouraged to visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St., Indianapolis, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home, 1079 Court St., Wickliffe, Kentucky. His uncle, the Rev. David Dowdy, will conduct a service starting at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Kentucky and he will be laid to rest by his parents following the ceremony in Woodville Cemetery in Kevil, Kentucky.
