FRANKLIN
Charlotte Ann Johnson, 79, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016, in the comfort of her home.
She was born March 5, 1937, in Indianapolis, to the late Garth and Doris “Ima” (Kincaid) Taylor. On Jan. 18, 1964, she was united in marriage to her loving husband, John Johnson. He preceded her in death.
Charlotte worked as a bookkeeper for the state of Indiana for many years. She retired in 1965. She enjoyed finding bargains at Goodwill and flea markets. True to her Native American heritage, she also enjoyed Indian crafts, making dream catchers and attending pow wows on occasion.
Survivors include her children, Joe Johnson of Greenwood, Johnda Johnson of Franklin, Jamie Johnson of Indianapolis, Robin Johnson of Indianapolis and Terri Johnson of Indianapolis; brother, Sonny Taylor of Indianapolis; sister, Jeanie Mills of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mooresville Cemetery.
