INDIANAPOLIS
Gary L. Sharrer, 60, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, April 5, 2016, surrounded by his devoted sisters.
Gary was born in Indianapolis on Nov. 22, 1955, to Jeff and Betty Sharrer.
Gary attended Greenwood schools and worked in the restaurant industry for several years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed nature, hunting and fishing.
Gary provided several years of in-home care for his father allowing his parents to remain together in their home.
Gary is survived by his sisters, Tammy Knuth and Susan (Charlie) Garcia; three nieces and one nephew; four great-nephews; and two great-nieces.
Gary was preceded in death by a newborn sister; grandparents; parents; and a great niece.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135. The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
