EDINBURGH
Jerry Dale Smith Sr., 68, of Edinburgh, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at his home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Sophie Louisa Burton Smith of Edinburgh; his mother Sallie Mae Burton Smith of Edinburgh; sons Jerry “Dale” Smith Jr. of Edinburgh, James O. (Diane) Smith of Oakland, Maryland, a daughter Tabitha A. (John) Duty of Columbus; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Terry Lee Smith of Edinburgh, Bonita (Dennis) Martin, Genny (Terry) Burton and Angie (Tim) Burton, all of Edinburgh.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Edinburgh First Assembly of God, 904 S. Holland St., with his son James officiating. Visitation will be from noon until time of services today at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
