Charles Ray “Charlie” Mercer, Sr., 93, of Indianapolis, died on Friday, April 1, 2016.
He is survived by his sons, Charles R. Mercer Jr. (Ruth), Duane C. Mercer (Vonda) and Robbin L. Mercer (Gayle); 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Jean Mercer.
Services for Charlie will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts have been suggested to the Franciscan Hospice House, 8414 Franciscan Way, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
