Atterbury plans military exercises

County residents who live near Camp Atterbury may hear explosions due to training.

Active duty Army soldiers are conducting artillery and mortar live training through Sunday. The explosions may come at any time during the day and night.

Residents also will see an increase in air traffic around the base.

The training is being used to ready soldiers for future missions and to keep them proficient in the equipment they use.
