Contractor earns recognition from peers

Columbus-based Force Construction Co. recently was recognized by the Indiana Subcontractors Association as the general contractor of the year for the second consecutive year.

The recognition is determined by votes from the ISA subcontractor membership in the areas of safety, project management, scheduling and other categories. Force Construction also received the excellence in ethics award for the second year in a row.

The company is a general contractor serving commercial, industrial and institutional building, heavy/highway and site/civil construction customers in Indiana and other states.

First Credit Union receives award

Financial Center First Credit Union was recently awarded the National Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award from the Credit Union National Administration for the second consecutive year.

The award recognizes outstanding leadership for personal finance education programs through face-to-face teaching, publicity and organizational collaboration.

In 2015, the credit union created two full-time positions for financial education, hosted 35 seminars for credit union members, lunchtime workshops for employees of its business members, weekly seminars and more than 50 seminars through partnerships with other local community organizations.

Doctor joins Franciscan network

Dr. Christopher J. Dull has joined Franciscan Physician Network and will serve as a psychiatric liaison to clinicians who provide care to inpatients at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis.

He joins Dr. Beth A. Johnson in practice. The doctors work with patients having a primary medical diagnosis and whose accompanying psychiatric symptoms complicate their care.

Dull most previously served as medical director of the geropsychiatry unit at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and Skyline Medical Center. He was the owner of Hopeways, an addiction psychiatry practice in Franklin, Tennessee.

Dull completed an internship in internal medicine and residency training in psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Indiana Heart Physicians welcomes new member

Dr. Daniel G. Walsh has joined Indiana Heart Physicians, a practice of Franciscan Physician Network.

He joins a team of noted physicians, advance care providers and other clinicians, who provide care to patients in Indianapolis, Franklin, Greensburg, Martinsville, Mooresville, Shelbyville and Greencastle.

Board-certified in cardiovascular disease, Walsh most previously was affiliated with Cardiology Associates of Birmingham in Bingham Farms, Michigan. He also was on staff at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

He held various academic appointments including internal medicine instructor for emergency services at the University of Michigan. He is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a Diplomate in the American Board of Cardiology.

Center Grove praised for software use

Skyward, a K-12 school administrative software provider, named the recipients of its Leader in Excellence Award, including Center Grove Community School Corporation, at a recent conference.

The award recognizes K-12 districts and individual administrators who are using Skyward to make a difference in education and inspire new technology initiatives.

The three-day conference provided attendees access to the latest news in product development from the K-12 software provider, as well as one-on-one interaction with district peers, industry experts and Skyward executives.

Credit union helps Roncalli athletics

Indiana Members Credit Union recently presented a check for $2,000 to Roncalli High School athletics as part of an ongoing school spirit debit card program. The partnership allows Roncalli fans to show their school spirit and support the athletic program by signing up for a Roncalli Rebels themed debit card.

The card is available for issue to members at the IMCU Southside Branch, 5047 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, as well as IMCU’s other 23 central Indiana locations. The IMCU Roncalli Rebels debit card is free to members with IMCU’s free checking account.. Every time the card is used, Roncalli athletics benefits. Greenwood resident joins Indiana Farm Bureau

Richard Warren has joined Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance as an agent based in the Greenwood office at 972 Emerson Parkway, Suite B. He has completed Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance’s professional insurance training program.

Warren, of Greenwood, attended Ivy Tech Community College.

Pair add expertise to local firm

Tim Lory and Christina Brooks have joined REALTY WORLD-Harbert Co., a Greenwood-based real estate brokerage firm, as distinguished Realtors/broker associates.

Lory is a lifelong resident of the southside and has a 14-year background in banking. He is a graduate of Perry Meridian High School and has a bachelor of science degree in financial services from the University of Indianapolis.

Brooks is a longtime small business partner and owner with SCN, Inc. and Prometheus Investments LLC. She is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelors of arts and science. She also has formal training with the Gemological Institute of America. She also has several years of experience in residential real estate.
