INDIANAPOLIS
Ross James Barker, 60, of Indianapolis, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
Ross was born April 14, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late James and Donna (Green) Barker.
He was a parts manager for Peterbilt of Indianapolis for 10 years before going on to work with Truck Pro for 10 years.
On July 4, 1985 he married Jacqueline Royalty at Greenwood Christian Church. Ross was a member of the British Sports Car Club. He loved auto racing, especially the Indianapolis 500, a love he inherited from his parents.
Ross is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Barker; his stepson, Scott (Kari) Winn; five grandchildren; his sister, Betty (Scott) Sluder; and nieces, Candace and Samantha.
Ross is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Ross will be at noon Saturday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the mortuary.
