Easter Activities listing

The Easter bunny is coming this weekend, and there are many places to hunt for his eggs. Here’s a sampling of where his visits will be this weekend. All are open to the public.

Greenwood Public Library and local businesses will host an Easter egg hunt at Old City Park in Greenwood from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. The free event will feature egg hunts for kids up to age 10, bounce houses, face painting, crafts and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Fort Harrison State Park will host Easter egg hunts at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the state park office. Children 6 and younger may participate. The program is an outdoor event and subject to changes in the weather. Participants are advised to dress to be comfortable. There is no cost to attend the program, but the normal $5 for in-state or $7 for out-of-state vehicle gate fees apply. For more information, contact the visitor’s center at 317-591-0122.

Providence Christian Church, 4080 West Road 100 North, Bargersville, will offer a children’s Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday. Information: 422-9331; pccbargersville.org.

SouthPointe Church, 70 West St., Whiteland, will host its neighborhood Easter Eggstravaganza with candy, prizes and fun planned, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Information: southpointe.church.

Triumph Church, at the corner of Broadway and Brewer in Greenwood, will host an Easter egg hunt for kids up to 10 years of age starting at 3 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments will be served after. Dress appropriately for weather, 317-513-2251.

Amity Baptist Church, 3597 U.S. 31 South, Franklin will put on an Easter Sunday breakfast and kids’ Easter egg hunt on Sunday. Breakfast starts at 9 a.m., and an Easter egg hunt for children will start at 10 a.m. Worship services are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome. Information: 738-2736.
