Elizabeth J. “Libby” (Green) Henninger

FRANKLIN

Elizabeth J. “Libby” (Green) Henninger of Franklin, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.

She was born in Bud on Sept. 12, 1939, to George and Della (Eastridge) Green; they both preceded her in death.

Elizabeth married Tommie Henninger on May 10, 1968, in Franklin; he survives.

Also surviving are her children, Patty Eldridge (Larry) of Naples, Florida, Steve Edwards (Lisa) of Greenwood, Tommie Henninger Jr. (Rachael) of New Whiteland and Connie Jo Phillips (John “Randy) of Trafalgar; grandchildren Christy Seng (Brian), Kimberly Bethel, Stephanie Johnson (Cody), Jessica Edwards, Blake Ulrey, Brittany Henninger, Vincent Foster, Jake Philliips and Lauren Phillips; great-grandchildren Brooke Seng, Logan Seng, Maddie Bethel, Ryder Henninger, Callen Henninger and Parker Johnson; and her three sisters, Pauline Clem of Providence, and Ruth Westcott and Evelyn Hardin, both of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, George Green.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Bargersville.

She was an active member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship of the church.

She helped prepare and serve many church dinners. She also volunteered with the church at the lemon shakeup stand for Gateway Services every year at the Johnson County 4-H and Agricultural Fair. She also was a member of an evening Bunco group.

Elizabeth worked at Eli Lilly, in the hospitality business at several motels, and in the daycare at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

The Revs. Ken Rickett and Roger Gifford will conduct a service at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Washington Park East in Indianapolis.
