Seniors can get help with taxes

Senior citizens needing help on taxes can get assistance at a branch of the Johnson County Public Library.

The AARP Tax-Aide Program provides free tax assistance for senior citizens and low-income filers. 

Tax help will be offered at all Johnson County Public Library branches during the months of February and March.

Visit or call any JCPL Branch to make an appointment:

Clark Pleasant branch: 535-6206

Trafalgar branch: 878-9560

White River branch: 885-1330

Franklin branch: 738-2833

Those getting assistance should bring identification, a copy of last year’s tax returns, property tax receipts, W2s, 1099 forms and any other income tax receipts or forms you received.

You must be present to complete the forms. Most forms will be electronically submitted.

Arrive 15 minutes before the appointment time.
