FRANKLIN
Harold Wayne Matlock, 70, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born June 5, 1945, in Franklin to Kenneth Wayne and Opal Mae (Learand) Matlock.
He married Dianna (Service) Matlock on Aug. 5, 1978. She preceded him in passing in 2012.
Harold is survived by his stepchildren, Bryan (Khristina) Epperson of Greenwood, Brandi (Kirsh) Turner and Brad (Christy) Epperson, both of Franklin; grandchildren, Paige, Brooke, Bryce, Chase, Reise, Blane, Kopelin and Tauran; sister, Patty Burton of Franklin; and fiancé, Sharleen Tharpe of Franklin.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; wife, Dianna; and half-sister, Charlene (Green) Hampton.
He was a 1963 graduate of Franklin High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Harold was employed at United Technologies in Indianapolis for 40-plus years, retiring in 2013.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin with military honors being conducted by the U.S. Air Force and the Franklin American Legion Post No. 205 Honor Guard.
Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin are assisting the family with arrangements.
