Brenda J. (Hardin) Fox

NASHVILLE

Brenda J. (Hardin) Fox, 66, passed away on Friday morning, March 11, 2016, at the Sturgill Hospice Care Center in Brooksville, Florida. She was a resident of Nashville.

Brenda was born Aug. 29, 1949, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to the late Guy and Mary Jane (Cowan) Hardin.

She was a 1967 graduate of Edinburgh High School and went on to marry Roland W. Fox on March 20, 1976, in Edinburgh. He lovingly survives after 39 years of marriage.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother and homemaker who worked in housekeeping for Johnson Memorial Hospital during the early 2000s.

She enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband, reading romance novels and camping.

Brenda was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University basketball.

She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Brenda attended the Sprunica Baptist Church in Nashville.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Roland; sons, William (Claire) Fox of Brown County and Sam (Epha) Riche of Greenwood; grandchildren, Jessika and Kathren Fox, Will and Ben Riche; and siblings, Sue (Steve) Cox of Mount Auburn, Melba (Lonnie) Toops, Cathy (David) Beatty and Larry Burton, all of Edinburgh, and Nancy (Richard) Ferguson of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as stepfather Wimpy Burton; and two brothers, Steve Burton and Lewis Hardin.

The Rev. Guy Hardin will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Goshen Cemetery in Brown County.
