Nicholas Andrew Smith, 9, of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016.
He was born March 2, 2007, in Indianapolis to Travis A. and Amy M. Backus Smith. Nick was a second grade student at Isom Elementary School in Greenwood.
Nick is survived by his loving parents, Travis and Amy Smith; brother, T.J. Smith; grandparents, Steven Backus, Diane Smith and Ben Smith; and great-grandmother, Shirley Backus.
Nick’s grandmother, Sandra Backus; and great-grandfather, Clarence Backus, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be conducted from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
