BARGERSVILLE

Jennifer K. Corbin, 68, of Bargersville, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born on March 10, 1948, in Shelbyville to the late Bernard M. Sleeth, who passed away on Sept. 3, 1993, and Lenny (Williams) Sleeth, who passed April 25, 2005.

She was a 1966 graduate of Shelbyville High School and 1970 graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

She worked as a RN at St. Francis Hospital for 22 years, most recently at Center Grove Family Medicine for Dr. Tim Nussbaum, retiring 2004.

She married Stephen A. Corbin on Oct. 10, 1970, and he survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Scott Andrew Corbin and his wife Jehan, in Franklin, Tennessee, and Jeffrey Alan Corbin in Chicago; sister Gail Ellen Pogue (Robert) in Yorba Linda, California; three grandchildren, Kennedy Jane Corbin, Anderson Daniel Corbin and Finlay James Corbin; and niece Brandi Lau (Casey).

An avid quilter, she enjoyed cards, dominoes, IU basketball, the beach and traveling — Alaska, Europe and Hawaii to name a few of her favorites.

Jenni was a member of Tri Kappa, Center Grove Church, and Women’s Christian Fellowship.

She was a loving wife, mother and great Mimi.

Memorial visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
