Elizabeth (Witt) Stillabower, 86, of Franklin passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, at 5:03 a.m. in her home.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1929, in Whiteland to the late Clyde and Helen (Gaunce) Witt.
She married Lyle Wayne Stillabower on June 9, 1948, and he preceded her death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lyle Wayne Stillabower Jr.; and her daughter-in-law, Lynn Stillabower.
Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She sold Avon, had a wedding catering business, baby-sat, volunteered for the Girls Club and Franklin band, and donated her time to the food bank.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children, Daniel (Debby) Stillabower, Thomas (Terry) Stillabower, Donald Stillabower, Roger (Lois) Stillabower and Rita Stillabower; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 951 N. Main St., Franklin. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Elizabeth will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
