Franklin Police, DEA arrest five people

Methamphetamine, prescription pills, five guns, drug paraphernalia and more than $500 in cash was found in a Franklin home Friday morning.

Five people were arrested, including Franklin resident Justyne Emery, 34, who was wanted on a warrant for drug charges, according to a news release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 9 a.m., officers from Franklin Police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration got a search warrant for Emery’s residence, in the 300 block of Bryant Drive. Officers found illegal drugs, including less than methamphetamine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and five guns including both long and handguns, said Sheriff Doug Cox.

Emery was arrested on a charge of visiting a common nuisance and dealing in drug paraphernalia. He remains in the Johnson County jail on $61,000 bond.

Four other people, Kelsey Navel, 25, Whitney Savage, 33, Brandy Cochran, 38, Austin Hood, 20, and Troy Fulmer, 26, were arrested on a charge of visiting a common nuisance.

Savage, 4815 E. County Road 300N, Franklin, Hood, 695 Findlay Lane, Greenwood, and Fulmer, 4006 Summit Ridge Drive, Greenwood, remain in jail on $1,000 bond.

Navel, 3560 S. County Road 700N, New Palestine, remains in jail on $2,000 bond.

Cochran, 1871 N. Main St., Franklin, was released on $1,000 bond.
