Johnson Memorial planning visitor restrictions

Johnson Memorial Hospital is planning to begin visitor restrictions today due to the flu.

Beginning today, the Franklin hospital will join others in Indianapolis restricting visitors to patients, hospital spokeswoman Casey DeArmitt said.

The hospital will restrict visitors who:

  • Have signs of having the flu.
  • Are younger than 18.
  • Are not immediate relatives or partners of the patient.

The restrictions will continue until state and local officials determine they are no longer needed.
