Bank renovating vacant building

A vacant building at the corner of a busy Greenwood intersection will be renovated and turned into a bank.

Lake City Bank will remodel the building at the southeast corner of Smith Valley Road and State Road 135 this summer and plans to open in early 2017, said Kevin Deardorff, Lake City Bank’s executive vice president of retail. The building, located at 705 S. State Road 135, was previously a realty company’s office, Deardorff said.

Lake City Bank is based out of Warsaw and currently has 48 branches across the state, including four on the north side of Indianapolis.
