Area nonprofit groups can apply for grants this spring from the Johnson County Community Foundation and Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Johnson County.
The group works to give youth opportunities, resources, mentors and tools to solve serious community issues while developing a lifelong commitment to philanthropy.
The Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Johnson County offers grants ranging between $50 and $500 to area nonprofits for youth-led service projects.
Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations including youth groups, community organizations, schools, classrooms, religious organizations and other 501(c)3 nonprofits for projects.
Applicants must be youth-led — from writing the proposal to implementation of the project, address a serious community need in Johnson County, bring together diverse people and organizations, have a learning component on philanthropy, and increase the development assets of young people.
Grant applications are available online at jccf.org/youth-grants and are due March 18. Applications may be submitted to the Foundation office, 398 S. Main St., Franklin, or by email to Lee Ann Hall at [email protected] by the deadline.
