To the editor:
I agree it is past time to pass legislation in Indiana concerning the hate crimes issue (“Time to pass law about hate crimes,” editorial, Feb. 25).
When an Asian exchange student in Brown County is attacked with a hatchet because she is not a white person, and the prosecutor cannot call this a hate crime, we have a legal problem in our state.
