INDIANAPOLIS
Beverly A. (Moon) Hoffmeister, age 75, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Community Hospital North.
She was born Dec. 27, 1940 in Henry County, as the daughter of Glen J. and Betty A. (Rifner) Moon.
She graduated from VanBuren High School in 1958 and received her bachelor’s degree in education from Ball State University in 1964.
Beverly married Richard Hoffmeister in 1990 in Greenwood.
She was a teacher for several years at Mount Summit and Indiana Girls School. She also worked for Herff Jones and Roselyn Bakery for many years.
Beverly was a member of Greenwood Christian Church and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Beverly was very artistic and loved reading and going to plays, musicals and the ballet. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Beverly is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ann (Todd) Keck of Indianapolis, Brian C. (Monica) Lego of New Palestine and William G. (Stephanie) Lego of Noblesville; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Chrissy, Steven, Sara, Elyse, Jenny, Erin, Rachel, William A., Alyssa and Ian; eight great-grandchildren, and two on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen J. and Betty A. Moon; and husband, Richard Hoffmeister.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. Pastor Brad Ruggles will be officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie.
