Velma L. (Leeper) Dausch

INDIANAPOLIS

Velva L. (Leeper) Dausch, 74, of Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.

She was born July 13, 1941, in Indianapolis, to Thomas Sr. and Naomi (Garland) Leeper.

Velva was the most loving and compassionate person, who always put others before herself. She was known for her gift of cooking, gardening and arts and crafts. She loved greatly and was greatly loved.

Waiting to join her in heaven are her loving husband and best friend, John William Dausch; four daughters, LaDonna (Grady) Feller, Cindy (Duane) Scholl, Hope (Rob) Thacker and Darla (Steve) Fruits; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; three siblings, Donna (Gerald) Dausch, Jerry Leeper and Chuck (Vickie) Leeper; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, June Ellen Dausch.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 N. U.S. 31. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
