James ‘Jim’ D. Bohlander

GREENWOOD

James “Jim” D. Bohlander, 85, husband, father and cowboy, of Greenwood, went to meet his Lord on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016.

Jim was born March 6, 1930, in Brookville.

He was a graduate of Ben Davis High School.

He was an ironworker for many years and retired from Chevrolet.

Jim was a champion steer wrestler, calf roper and team roper.

He was a member of Ironworkers Local No. 22 and was also a member of Lynhurst F&AM No. 723.

Jim married his high school sweetheart, the former Patricia Ray, and celebrated the next 66-plus years together.

She survives Jim along with their daughters, Tamra Gummer and Rebecca Milhollin; daughter-in-law, Lynette Bohlander; grandchildren, Keli (Ivon) Nelson, Clay Milhollin, Kori Milhollin, Lacy (Ryan) Gray and Douglas Bohlander; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dale Bohlander.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
