Activities at church

SS. Francis & Clare Catholic Church, 5901 Olive Branch Road, Greenwood, will host the Fair Trade Marketplace on Sunday.

Vendors will be on hand 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. selling hand-crafted artisan works in jewelry, clothing, basketry, wood and ceramics, coffee, tea, spices and chocolate.

The fair trade movement emphasizes helping artisans and other producers in developing countries achieve better trading conditions to ultimately have higher social and environmental standards.

Edgewood United Methodist Church, 1820 E. Epler Ave., continues the United Methodist Church Lenten breakfast series March 5.

Area United Methodist Churches host breakfasts on the six Saturdays preceding Palm Sunday. All breakfasts start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 8:55 a.m.

A free-will offering will help support the host church’s mission target.

New Beginnings Community Church, 600 Ironwood Drive, Franklin, will host a screening of the movie “War Room” on March 11.

The film will start at 7 p.m. Childcare and snacks will be available. The public is welcome.
